3rd National Conference on Small Water Service Providers

For the third year in a row, the Streams of Knowledge in partnership with the National Water and Sanitation Association of the Philippines (NAWASA) and the National Water Resources Board (NWRB) together with its other supporters will be holding the 3rd National Conference of Small Water Service Providers (SWSPs) on August 19-20, 2009 at the Royal Mandaya Hotel located in  Davao City, Philippines.

Pilot Program Launched to Improve Rural Water Services

In April the IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre announced a six-year initiative to improve sustainability of rural water supply for some of the world's poorest people. IRC will pilot a new model that would reshape the way rural water services are provided. A $22 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will make this possible in rural districts and small towns in Ghana and Uganda.
